Study Abroad This Summer

Thinking of traveling abroad this summer, but not sure what you want to do or where you want to go? We’ve got you covered. Many of Ryerson’s partner institutions around the world offer summer courses in a variety of fields.

While the application deadline has already passed for some opportunities, there are still many options available to explore this summer. Read on below to find out more about the available study abroad options and how you can receive credit for toward your Ryerson degree.

University of Malaga Summer Intensive Spanish Program

Two or four week (45 or 90 hours) intensive Spanish language courses, with six levels from beginner to mastery.

Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences Summer School

A two-week intensive classes in a variety of academic fields, including Digital Brand Engagement, Leadership in the EU, and Software for Science.

Location: The Netherlands
Program Dates: July 2-July 13, 2018
Application Deadline: June 1, 2018

Tilburg University Summer School

Various academic and language courses, including Death, the Bible, Computer Games, Sustainable and Social Entrepreneurship, and Dutch Intensive Summer Course.

Manchester Metropolitan University International Summer School

A three-week program taught in various streams, including British Politics and Football and British Culture, taught through lectures, seminars and guided cultural visits.

Location: England
Program Dates: July 9-28, 2018

University of Stirling International Summer School

Modules offered in four-week blocks – students can choose to study for four weeks or the full eight weeks – featuring courses on The Scottish Perspective, Photographing the Urban, and International Relations.

Glasglow Caledonian University International Summer School

A two-week period of study with the option of earning credits during a third week, with courses including Global Leadership. Sustainability Challenges in Business, Technology and Health, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Social Impact.

Program Dates: July 18-August 8, 2018
Application Deadline: June 30, 2018

 

To ensure courses taken abroad are eligible to count towards your Ryerson degree you will need to complete the Letter of Permission (LOP) process prior to departure. The LOP allows students to enrol in a course at another institution and for those credits to be applied toward their Ryerson program.
